Consultation

We meet all new patients in person at our Edmonton office prior to booking a surgical procedure. A thorough consultation is the most important part of the surgical process and obtaining the best outcome.

To schedule a consultation, fill out and submit the electronic form at this link and a representative will contact you. Consultations will only be scheduled over the phone. Privacy concerns dictate that we do not respond to social media or other forms of online inquiries. 

Patients who are considering foot and/or ankle surgery are required to have current radiographs (X-rays) performed before the consultation. We will arrange these for you on your behalf. These are done at various locations around Edmonton such as MIC, Canada Diagnostic Imaging and Insight. These are paid for by Alberta Health Care at no cost to you. Radiographs are necessary in order to generate the surgical plan. Forgoing these radiographs is not an option. Sometimes, more advanced imaging may be required after the consultation such as CT scans, MRI scans or Ultrasound. Should there be changes to the surgical plan based on these, you will return to the clinic at no additional expense to review them and update the surgical planning if necessary. 

We are then able to form a surgical plan based on the foot and ankle exam, medical imaging, and an understanding of the patients’ goals. At the end of your consultation, we will generate an outline with the costs involved with the proposed procedure.
